That kind of players probably aren't worth partying with in the first place. Keep your armor if it's what you like the best.
I've always thought that since the 15k sets are purely an aesthetic thing, I go for the set or armor mix that pleases my eye the most.

I have a serious problem with anyone who judges another player for the armour and weapons he/she wears and wields. To hell with players who think you are a 'noob' for wearing 15 Ascalon. Don't even bother partying with them. To hell with players who call every warrior with Gladiator armour a 'wammo glad clone noobcake'. They're not better than the people judging you for your Ascalon armour.

I wonder why there even is a full set of knights/ascalon armor when the pieces dont even stack with eachother.
And the discription also isn't right, cause if you put 1 piece of ascalon armor on you, it does give you recieved damage -2 all the time, nomatter on which part of your body you are attacked. So 1 piece of ascalon still stacks on non-ascalon armor pieces.
I thought this was changed after the update but it still works. I've tested that with going first with 1 piece of ascalon and than without.

This is the first time ever I have heard someone not being accepted to a party due to armor. (not including the ele with fire eye advertising himself as air spiker)

Its just an idea and ovbiously needs to be tweeked, but the main point is that for almost every other item in the game (green items, gold/rare items, rare swords, ect.) you can get all/most of your money back except for armor. There is absoultly no way of receiving money from armor other than the few hundred gold a merchant will give you.

Well, 15k Ascalon armour looks cool enough that it makes up by far for the energy differential.
Gladiator's armour is a necessary evil. Performance-wise, it's the best, but it's just so damn ugly...

Well it doesn't take long saving up 75k again just start farming charr hides alot selling the fur for 200 - 220 depending on supply and demand.
Another nice way is doing some uw runs not that the greens are worthy but you get some nice drops there of money and items usually there are golds in some of the chests that can be worth something.

But to me and other players like me, 75k is a lot. There is no way I'll ever get the 1-2 mil for FoW...

That's what I thought when I was fairly new to the game, but after playing about 1300 hours since beta, 1 mill isn't that much.
Just keep playing and enjoying the game, if you play long enough you will be able to afford most of the stuff you want. The expensive stuff is there to be earnt.

The funny thing is that most people want what they don't have, and once they have it they want something else. I have a set of dragons and ascalon armor, but I guess it was a waste of money since I wear my desert collector armor with the ascalon helm most of the time.
Ultimately it's about what you like and NOT what others tell you to like or have. If you buy into another persons way of thinking then your playing their game and not your own. Be your own individual and do what you think is best, you'll be happier in the long run.

Yeah man, don't listen to what the cookie cutters say, you have an armor that practically no one else has, wear it proud.

/agreed. Make the ascalon/knight's damage reduction non-global. Ascalon boots would only reduce dmg by 2 if you get hit on the feet.
